  1. Chase Dylan Baccus

Hello, my name is Chase Baccus. I am a member of the Symons Creek Tabernacle a Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pasquotank, North Carolina and just recently graduated from college at the University of North Carolina with a dual degree in Exercise and Sport Science and Human Geography. After graduation I stayed in Chapel Hill because I felt that this was God’s will even though I did not know exactly what he had in mind. I did not have a job and have just recently taken my first part-time position thanks to his provision. God saw fit to put me in a position where I am now able to devote a lot of time to UNC’s Intervarsity Christian Fellowship chapter and I joined the chapter’s prayer team just before graduation. I recently came to the realization that I had not been in the right place spiritually in my life for a very long time and became thoroughly depressed and longing for God’s redemption and forgiveness. I prayed hard after sanctification in my life. That through his mercy and my pledged obedience the Lord would remove the sinful desires from my life that have plagued me for years. I realized that God was convicting me of the selfishness of my past desires for an American Dream style life with financial stability, a comfortable lifestyle, etc. I was desperately praying for God to put in my heart a desire to further his kingdom in a more direct way than by just being an ambassador of his love throughout my daily life. I do not rightly know how to explain the answer that I received from him. I now know that the Lord is telling me to go out and to both minister to youths and to go forth and spread his truth through missions. I went on a missions trip to Yoro, Honduras in 10th grade and that was a wonderfully uplifting moment in my walk with Christ. I did not ever expect to go back to Honduras but since I have been praying about where God wants me to go I have been hearing the call to return. I do not know why God has led me to this website but I hope that whoever reads this will be able to help me accomplish God’s purpose in my life.
