Fresh Bread March 11: Treasuring God’s Word

But God knows the way that I take: when He hath tried (tested) me, I shall come forth as gold. My foot hath held his steps, His way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have ESTEEMED the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. (Job 23:10-12; KJV)

The Hebrew definition for “ESTEEMED” is “To treasure, hide, or store up.” The word Treasure means ”to hold dear, adore, appreciate, cherish, conserve, dote on, save, value, reverence, guard, idolize, worship.”

PRAYER: “Dear Lord, during this consecration, teach me and help me to:
• Appreciate (as oppose to depreciate) Your Word.
• Conserve (as opposed to wasting) Your Word.
• Guard (as opposed to letting Your Word slip away).
• Save (as oppose to deleting) Your Word from my heart
• And Value (as opposed to devaluing) Your words. Amen.”
