We are so glad that you have decided to visit Pentecostal Tabernacle. One of the things we strive for is to make our church one of the most welcoming places in Cambridge. So we are excited that you have given us the opportunity to endeavor to reach this goal by extending our warmest welcome to you.

We know that visiting a church for the first time can be a bit intimidating and daunting. In order to alleviate some of this stress, here is a brief visitor’s guide to Pentecostal Tabernacle so that you will know what to expect upon your visit.

How do I get there?

Pentecostal Tabernacle now worships in two locations. Both churches are located in Cambridge near Central Square.

If you’re attending our 8:30 am service, join us for worship at PT North, 77 Columbia Street, Cambridge. The church is on the corner of Columbia Street and Washington Street. We are a 5 minute walk from the Central Square T Station. If you would prefer the 11:30 am service, come to PT South at 56 Magazine Street, Cambridge. PT South is a 6 minute walk from Central Square.

If you are driving to Pentecostal Tabernacle, there is a parking lot next to our church at 77 Columbia Street. There is also street parking available at both locations on a first come first served basis. Please be considerate of our neighbors by keeping driveways and corners clear.

What time are your services?

Our services take place at 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM. You are welcome to attend whichever service is most convenient.

If you’d like to attend our 8:30 am service, join us for worship at PT North, 77 Columbia Street, Cambridge. If you would prefer the 11:30 am service, come to PT South at 56 Magazine Street, Cambridge.

Please take note that there is no longer a 2:00 pm service.

What do I do once I get there?

At PT North our main sanctuary is located directly up the stairs on the 2nd floor. Our ushers will be happy to find you a seat on the main floor or in the balcony. We also have overflow seating in the fellowship hall where you can view the service on a closed circuit television. Our chair lift is in the process of being repaired and is temporarily unusable, so for the time being the main sanctuary is not handicap accessible.

When you arrive at PT South, proceed upstairs to the sanctuary where our ushers will be happy to find you a seat on the main floor. At present, there is no overflow seating and the sanctuary is not handicap accessible.

Our Congregation

Pentecostal Tabernacle is a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, and multi-generational church. Situated between Harvard University’s and MIT’s campuses, we have a large population of students that attend our church. Whether you are nine or ninety or whether you come in a suit and hat or a pair of jeans, all are welcome.

Prayer & Worship

Pentecostal Tabernacle is a church that strongly believes in the power of prayer. Before each service starts we have corporate prayer for fifteen minutes. Feel free to join in prayer with us at your seat.

Our praise and worship team will open up the service with 3-4 songs. Pentecostal Tabernacle’s music reflects the diversity of our congregation. Our sound is a blend of traditional, contemporary, and international music. We look forward to worshipping with you and hope you experience the presence of God as we praise the Lord together.

Do you have childcare during the service?

At the 8:30 AM service we provide a nursery for young children, ages 0-4. We also have a Sunday School for children aged four all the way through high-school from 9:45 – 10:45 AM. Nursery and Sunday School are located across the street from PT North at 345 Washington Street.

Currently, we are unable to provide childcare at the 11:30 AM service.

What do I do after the service?

At Pentecostal Tabernacle we believe in the personal touch. We invite you and those who accompanied you to join us at a welcome reception directly after the 11:30 AM service. The reception will take place in the Fellowship Hall of PT South at 56 Magazine Street. Let us greet you over a cup of coffee and a pastry.

If you would like prayer, one of the members of our prayer team will be happy to pray with you. They will be standing at the front of the sanctuary after each service.
