Project MOVE

Preparing young people to think critically and act responsibly to improve their lives and their communities.

Project MOVE is a yearlong enrichment program where students develop a personal mission statement, discover great works of art and literature, explore college and career paths, and produce community service documentaries. Students can earn up to $700 of scholarship money and $300 in gift cards over the year, and receive job placements through the Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program in their final term.

Requirements:
Students must be currently enrolled as seventh graders
Students must be committed for the entire program

Meetings:

  • Summer Session 1 will meet for the month of July on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
  • 8th Grade Fall Session and 8th Grade Spring Session will meet on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
  • Summer Session 2 will meet for the month of July on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
