What is REACH?
REACH is two-year enrichment and college advising program for high school juniors and seniors. Through this program, students will: define their life mission; enroll in a college that is a good fit; and develop leadership, life, and relational skills in order to thrive in college and accomplish their life mission. Key elements of REACH include: weekly workshops, mentoring, a supportive and diverse cohort, SAT prep, college advising and career exploration. After successfully completing REACH and enrolling into a 2 or 4 year college, students will be eligible for a $1,000 college scholarship.

How do I Apply?
Applications are due on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010. The application process involves two rounds.
- Paper application: All students must submit a completed application. Download a REACH application.
- Interview: Qualified applications will be notified for a personal interview with REACH staff.
Applying to the program is free. Selected applicants will be notified about their acceptance by June.
What else do I need to know?
- Eligibility Requirements: In order to apply, students must: Apply as a sophomore, have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and have completed and passed: Algebra 1, One Science class, Two English courses.
- Time Commitment: REACH meets weekly from 4-6pm through the students’ junior and senior year. Weekly assignments are due at the beginning of each workshop.
- Meeting Locations: REACH meets at two locations**: North Cambridge at Greater Boston Vineyard and Central Square at Pentecostal Tabernacle
**Days of the week vary according to cohort and year. - Enrollment Fee: If you are accepted into the program, you will be required to pay a $60 enrollment fee. Scholarships are available to those with special financial circumstances.
